Patrick Lu is an emerging photographer whose first exhibition (October 2016 to January 2017) left such an impression that he has been asked to join the list of rotating artists who show their works at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
Our business played a small part in realizing Lu's vision. We helped him with a few picture edits, and then produced 33 canvas for him. He made a road trip out of this, by driving from Edmonton to the Lower Mainland to pick this set up.
I'd like to think that, as a fine art print shop and custom frame store, finalizing artists' vision is what this is all about. Artists, such as Lu, spent an enormous amount of time and energy taking these photographs. Returning to a similar landscape to explore seasons and light takes tremendous patience.
That was just the beginning. Imagine the tens and hundreds of hours of picture editing -- some stunning photographs had to be left out simply because they did not visually match the theme. However, this also means new opportunities in future exhibitions.
Congratulations on a well-received showcase, Patrick Lu!
